The 67 big block hood scoop filler, is there any vented option . Should I just remove filler to allow more air flow. I wanted possibly something with a screen to keep debris out
thanks

Welcome to the forum! No vented options unless you go to an L88 hood, which draws air from the rear of the hood scoop.

You can remove the outer bezel and drill holes in the opening, or drill holes in the bezel and the opening. You could cut the back of the bezel off with a Dremel and drill holes in the opening. If the car is mostly original, I wouldn’t recommend doing it.

You probably have all the hp you need. Suggest you don't bugger up a good factory origie stinger hood.

IIRC, it’s was shown that low hood scoops like these are actually in a low pressure zone. That’s why they went to cowl scoops where it’s in a high pressure zone.

This is correct. Same reason the early functional ram air scoops on the '65-'67 Pontiac GTO's didn't really work all that well. Looked good, though.

Prototypes were tested with the filler plate removed, and failed the water ingestion tests at the Proving Grounds (also made a mess under the hood). Nobody knew much about boundary layer airflow in those days, so hood surface-level forward-facing air scoops were essentially useless.
