For both the hipo heads and low perf. heads

283/283 FI got the 3731539 heads. I believe all other engines got the 3740997 heads.

3740997 for all engines except the 283/283 FI, which used 3731539 heads.

Crazy that the 539 heads are the cheaper ones, the 997 heads will set you back a couple grand or more.

Only if they have the "twin tower" marking on them that indicate they are 56 2X4 or 57 270 h.p. 2X4.

Only if they are either the single tower or twin tower markings. single being 1957 Corvette 270 HP and twin being 1956 Corvette 2X4-bbl 283; 1958 passenger car FI
