Default Aftermarket Hood Options

I currently have a big block hood on my 1966 but since I have the tall deck 502 in the engine bay space under the hood is VERY limited (found out the hard way with a crack in the center). It fits but I cannot add a taller air filter (current is 1.5 inches tall). Is there a hood on the market that will fit and allow more room to clear the air filter assembly if I decide to change to a taller filter?

Try this. Poor picture but you get the idea.

That Dynamic hood fits to perfection, I have installed one with no fitting necessary. Brian

I assume this is the only option known. It isn't my ideal choice but I will take what I can get. Thanks for the info.

Which big block hood do you have now, the 66 or the 67?

If you're looking for something a little different, Mongoose offers 4 different 63 Grand Sport style hoods.

Same tall C3 L88 style hood. It was on car below when I bought it. I decided to make a C3 LT1 hood for the car so I don't need it. It's in Knoxville, Tn, an I'll be going up there tomorrow to move car over to shop that will be building 3 pt roll cage for it.

PM me if your interested I'll bring it back home with me. You live down around Columbus Ga, I live in Chattanooga, so we might be able to work out a sort of mid point meet up.

In black primer now.

I currently have the 1966 style big block hood on the car but there really isn't any room. I don't really like those from Mongoose. Poorhousenext, I may take you up on your offer. We could meet in Atlanta somewhere if that is OK with you. You can PM me your number and we could discuss it.
