Everyone is entitled to their own opinion - but they are NOT entitled to their own facts. You can believe whatever you hear, if that's what you want to do. You would be much better served by doing the research yourself instead of getting it off of the TV. There are a lot of talented people out there, and a few on each of these shows - but if you trust them for historical information, you're going to be VERY poorly informed.

Counting Cars is more of a yuk to me, I certainly dont expect them to provide useful infomation like Chasing Classic Cars does from time to time... but his statement was so completely off the charts incorrect I couldnt believe someone didnt do something about editing it.

C2 of the Year Finalist - Modified 2020
Who has watched Garage Squad? Saw one last week where they did a '63 Lincoln 4dr conv. I have never seen a car with so much rust, yet they did the entire interior with a color change, then engine work, suspension and to top that off, the electrical for the conv top. They stated it took every bit of a week. When do they say no to a junker? Dennis

I caught the episode concerning the corvettes on counting cars and felt the owners pain. The owner certainly loved his jewels and did not need any help shutting the hoods. He was probably thinking, let go of it, I got this as I know exactly how to do it without doing any damage but can’t cause your fingers are in the way. I also caught the owner wiping off finger prints. I bet the poor fellow was even concerned about a camera, belt buckle, or even a tattoo jumping off and nicking the paint. He probably told himself....never again.

Team Owner
The all fall down once in a while...watch the Overhaulin' episode where he Foose-ized a hot dog salesman's classic VW mini-bus. The guy's reaction was NOT good; the owner was not happy and Chip's reaction told him he knew it immediately...very awkward 'reveal'...

Most of these shows are "Pay-to-Play".
They buy the time from Velocity and then sell adds and promotional space to recoup the investment.
Most are using the TV time to promote there business.

When I grow up, I want to be Wayne Carini.
I think they do the most interesting cars, have no producer-induced drama, and his mechanic, Roger, is hilarious! A very accomplished racing driver as well.
The best was when he was uncrating a cammer Porsche engine Wayne had found.

LOL, fry, read what YOU quoted again and then come back to me with respect to the three individuals I mentioned and the word 'slightest' that you used in your quote. FWIW, my guess is Mark Worman has forgotten more historical info with regards to Mopar muscle than you or I ever knew !
I don't know who Mark Worman is, so I can't comment on whatever show he is on. If you go back and read my original post, you will find that it says "I have yet to see". I will stand by that. Words matter. And who is "fry"?
Not looking for an internet feud here. Let's remember the First Rule of Forums: No One's Mind Has EVER Been Changed On An Internet Forum. You like the shows, I don't. That's why TV's have so many channels.

There was one episode of Overhaulin' (I've not seen many) that really sticks in my mind. The guy had a very nice all original '49 or '50 Ford 2 door. All of this ruined after the Foose treatment. You could just tell the guy was angry although he didn't say anything. I would have been hot.
I always thought if some well meaning person in my life who apparently didn't know me very well allowed a car I owned to get all Foosed Up I would lose my mind.

Le Mans Master
Ed Welburn retired head of global designs for GM had to be coached thru his interview from Jay Leno about the C1 Corvettes. he did not know crap about the 53 or 54 as far as production or design or anything. If not for Jay, Ed would have looked like a bigger fool then he did on TV. I have met Ed at Amelia Island when he came and checked out my 54 Motorama Corvair but he really don't know much about Corvettes. Counting Cars is just like all the other TV reality shows, they are FAKE.

I always wondered how many fist fights broke out when the Count would go looking at someone's car that didn't want him too! You know when he goes knocking at the door and they start yelling at him to get the F-*k off the property!! lol Now those would be some neat shows I would like to watch!! lol

Here's the story about Elvira's T-bird. Apparently, George Barris and Danny both worked on the car. Danny isn't even in the same league with George Barris. Not even close.
