327 Intake Gaskets
Anyone see an issue using these intake gaskets?
this is what the machine shop sold me when I picked up my intake manifold.
MS-90314.
67 - 327-300 with cast intake.

They should work just fine. However for the front and back gaskets, I used a bead of silicone instead of the gaskets. John Z suggested in a post that you place a dowel or PVC pipe in the dist. shaft hole to help guide the manifold into place. Good luck. Jerry

Here is a "help you" tip. Take a center punch, stake the front and back wall with divits every 1/2 inch. It will allow the material to register in the wholes, thereby helping it to stay in place. Dennis

Those are excellent for stock engines. Throw away the rubber end seals and use black Permatex RTV.

A tip before applying silicone on the China walls, set your manifold in place and look at the gap.
When you apply the silicone on the clean dry surface make sure your silicone bead is about 1.5 times as tall as the gap you witnessed. If you are thin it will leak.
Too thick and you will have excess squeeze out and that can leave chunks inside your engine and you don't want that. It's easy to clean up outside but impossible to see inside.

It's also a good time to make sure you even have a gap on the ends. If you don't, you'll have vacuum leaks at the intake ports.
