How to adjust fast idle?
My car is a 66 427 with a divorced choke. I have the choke adjusted and working correctly. What isn't working is the fast idle. I see the fast idle cam, but how do I get this to function?
Thanks in advance

Like Joe said. It's hard to see in his pic but you'll see a curved plastic piece with steps on it. The tang needs to engage one step to set the choke. In his pic the tang is on top of it in the full open position. Close the choke then bend the tang to engage the steps. It may take a few attempts to get it where you want it.

For the longest time I couldn't get my fast idle to work, no matter how many times I'd try to adjust it. Then I noticed that the choke lever wasn't moving up and down smoothly and rubbing very slightly against the hole it passes through (see blue circle). Just a little tweak and it runs perfect now.
