So, who do you wish to thank here on the forum for their help?
SolidAxle - He was the first person I contacted for help in finding my dream corvette. Although we had never met, he was willing to help me find the right midyear. He spent a lot of time with me on the phone and eventually introduced me to provette67.
provett67 - If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be the proud owner of my sweet silver '66 corvette. He too spent some time on the phone with me, kept me looking in the right direction and ultimately did the inspection. We have been friend ever since. A terrific person, you are really fortunate if you know him.
Mind you, it took us three years to find my dream corvette and at a terrific price to boot.
midyearvette - Several months after my purchase of the '66, it was running too rich and at times would stall. I first met Frank at a car show he was judging and he was willing to listen to my problem. Much to my surprise, he said he would stop by and take a look - and he did a week later! Within 30 minutes the corvette was running perfectly and has been ever since. Another terrific friend to have.
Jackfit - For taking the time on his 48 state tour and stopping by Columbus, Ohio to visit Frank and me. It was a lot of fun to be apart of his tour. He stopped by again 5 years later.
Thanks guys

I don't like any of you guys.
Seriously though, I've asked many questions on here in the past and have received some valuable information from many. I'm wrapping up the '66 restoration here in the next couple of months and couldn't have done it without the help from right here. I don't have an AIM (I know) and haven't really needed one with the community here.

But seriously, too many to mention.
This forum has saved me a ton of money, busted knuckles, and frustration, as well as having provided tons of entertainment, to wit:
Electronic ignition or points?
What oil to use?
Best parts vendors?
Which cam is best?
NCRS or not?

Man- too many to list if I were to thank everyone! I'd say there a couple dozen rock-solid guys on here all the time I love to hear from. Matt- (USMC) has become such a good buddy we call and direct text more about the cars and the families than we do on forum. A real friend. railroadman and I had an awesome lunch here in Chattanooga when he and the missus were down visiting their daughter and I had a ball meeting CavecreekChump, Gerry and the crew when one of their Dashes came to town. I would enjoy the car without the forum, but the camaraderie here is impressive.
There is always an insightful answer to my dumb questions, an encouraging word, and an inappropriate joke to laugh at around here. In almost nine years, I've only put one person on my ignore list- pretty awesome!
Benton.

vetrod he is cranky but lovable, helped me tremendously in setting up my IC for the rear suspension and other drag racing tips, I don't know if I will ever meet him in person but he is a straight shooter.

I agree with all the names who have been mentioned, but it goes without saying that John Hinckley, aka JohnZ, should be right up there near or at the very top.
He's a walking Corvette Encyclopedia Britanica.......................no, he's ever better than that.
Thanks John for all your help over the years. Get well soon.

John H of course. DZauto has the kind of no nonsense answers that work for me and nowhere man seems to have a good grasp on many things. There's a lot of guys on here that have depth of knowledge that blows me away.

John Z tops my list but
I want to thank everyone on this forum for being good people! I've been on this forum for eight years now and rarely have I seen harassment, rudeness, etc. Thats something to be proud and grateful for. You go to other forums and people are taking over threads with their pissed off at the world attitude and its a waist of time.
cheers everyone

ChattanoogaSJB (Benton) is a great friend that I converse with a good bit, Tampa Jerry generously helped me with my engine/headlight wiring harness, and 100ultra (Rick) and I talk a lot since we both recently installed the same GM crate engine. I've also gleaned a ton of info from Frankie the Fink and Mike Coletta did an amazing job on my soft top.
Of course, I've learned a lot from JohnZ and many others on the forum that I don't directly chat with. Great board!
