Congrats on the new car. I am looking forward to seeing it. There is a car show 4/1 at Landstown Commons put on by the Chevy Lovers club. We also have cruise ins there every Saturday afternoon. You may want to consider joining the Beachcombers Corvette Club, we are doing stuff all year long.

The show 4/1 is for all vintage cars. I have a 66 red vert so please look me up. If the weather goes south, I'll miss the show.

On the Cars and Coffee, we usually have about 10 or so members from the club who get there about 7:15. We leave for breakfast at Citrus about 8:00. The ricers have taken over that event.

Fly Navy,
Welcome to the 64 Daytona Blue club, by far THE best looking midyear of all, (but then I'm biased) here is a picture of mine.
Was a Fuelie originally but that was long gone when I found it. So NOM, and I upgraded to front discs and dual MC for a safer driver.
Runs and drives great, and I just love and enjoy it as is, Hope you get to do the same.
Thanks for your service.....and enjoy flying your 64...
Regards,
Mark

It is unfortunate that VB C&C leans more heavily towards the import and mustang crowd. Im not opposed to any segment of the hobby, but it is more fun on the days when there is a little more variety in attendance.

Thanks Pat....I've been watching the market and trolling the for sale section/ebay/craigslist for about a year now but decided it was finally time to pull the trigger this spring if I found a keeper. Fortunately I think I found a good one.

Yea, I know the drum vs disc upgrade is a passionately debated topic...I've daily driven drum cars, and obviously numerous disc cars and in my experience, while you can get a drum car to work almost as well as a similarly equipped disc car, the maintenance to keep it that way is excessive if you drive the car as regularly as I drive mine. Obviously I will keep all the original parts, but I will definitely be going to a dual master and 4 wheel disc set up as this car is going to see many, many miles!

My suggestion, and Paul would concur is, go slow.
Don't initiate a bunch of change right away while you learn your car.
You very well may find that it ain't half bad as it is, and in fact, is quite good.
Many have felt the need before they owned that many changes were needed, but then after they owned a while they came to realize that what it was when they got it was what they really wanted, and they regreted the changes they made in haste.
