NCM insurance
Purchasing ncm insurance for my 1962 67 vette and 96 mercedes amg sl tomorrow. Anyone familar with this classic insurance for newer cars. Will be limited to 3000 miles per year, and must have 2 daily drivers for my wife and myself. Any feedback today would be very helpful. Anyone ever have a problem or accident claim with them. The yearly cost under 300 each is unbelievable. Thanks Ted.

I have four vehicles insured with NCM and they are great to work with. Never had a claim but I'm sure they would be good if I ever needed them.

I just insured a 2010 Dodge Hemi Challenger and my 2008 LS3 with 0 deductible, agreed value & 6,000 mile annual mileage for $729 a YEAR. You do need a daily driver and/alternate transportation.

I have a coupe of Vettes insured with them but they would not cover my '02 Z06 because it is considered an exotic and I have a son in my house who is 23 years old. I would check all of the exclusions.

I have NCM coverage on my 15 C7 with 6k max mileage with agreed value. The unused mileage does roll over-so if you have 6k limit and only use 4k you can go 8k the next year.

I have several cars insured with the NCM.
I have my 63 Corvette, my 37 Chevy, my 56 Chevy...
PLUS, I have my 2006 C6 Corvette insured there too.
None are daily drivers. My wife and I have two other DD vehicles.
I've never had a claim, so cannot comment on that, but Adam and his crew are a pleasure to deal with.
I don't believe you can insure a DD with them. You must have another car. There are mileage restrictions, but I don't know what they are. All of my cars are "hobby" cars used for club functions.

Just renewed my NCM policy yesterday. I believe all the companies are pretty much the same when it comes to restrictions.
When I was reading over my policy yesterday, I noticed they add 2% to your agreed value amount for each quarter you have the policy if you have a total loss. I never knew about that. I assume that means current policy year (maximum of 4 quarters), not total years of coverage. Maybe the other companies include that too, I don't know.

If in doubt a phone call can answer your questions....and think carefully about uninsured driver's insurance... If you decide you don't need it then think about it some more.
If you're still convinced you don't need it -- buy it anyway.
I'm with NCM and I ain't goin' ANYwhere...

Llook before you commit!
Called the CM to get a price quote for my 65. I currently have it with Hagerty Insurance but is coming due soon. I was informed that they are not licensed in New York but referred me to American Modern Insurance the Co they work with in states they are not licensed. Spoke to a real nice agent there who told me they are the Company that insures the Corvette Museum customers. Their price was about 12% cheaper than what I have for exact same coverage. I did a check on Modern and found that the AM Best Co. Rates them A+. Did an Internet check on the Co. and found that the feedback on their claims handling was worse than atrocious! I'm sticking with Hagerty. I've never had a claim with them but I know of a few who have and never a problem. Check the feedback online before you leap. Good Luck.

As I have said many time in the past, don't buy insurance simply because of price. Equally important is how any claim is handled.
As I said, I've had Hagerty for over 20 years and had one claim many years ago. It was handled very quickly and all the work was done to my satisfaction.

There are insurance agents that sell same insurance as NCM agents do just FYI..not saying anything wrong with the NCM agents as they are evidently great people. Just mentioning that there are local insurance agents selling this same insurance ( as well as other collector car insurance policies) and they live in your own local communities...just a thought...

I have Classic Car Insurance on my '64 Sting Ray Coupe and they quoted me $1100 per year on a $109K Z06 with 6,000 mile limitation, $1K deductible. I haven't gotten a quote from my DD insurance company as I don't have a VIN yet. My '64 valued at $80K is $612 per year 2500 miles.

I just got a refund of over $100 and my son got $1100 with a letter saying there was an adjustment in our premiums.

A few years back when Hurricane Sandy was projected to hit Florida, I got an email from Adam at the National Corvette Museum (American Modern) offering to reimburse me up to $500 of the cost to relocate my '67 to a safe location away from the storm's path.
