Default Rust Check

Do any of the forum members use Rust Check on their Vettes frames ?
I use a Rust Check competitor (Krown Rust) on my daily driver, 92 Lumina and I swear that's why it's still rust free.

I bought 4 spray cans of Rust Check from Canadian Tire and soaked my C1's frame and as much as I can inside the frame. I also spray behind the bumpers, my valve covers, air cleaners and chrome parts on my aluminum wheels (towers, spinners, lug nuts).

Anyone else do this ?

Hi Ken,
I use Rust Check as well. It's a great product.
Are you using the "red" can, or the "green" can.

The red, is a liquid and penetrates well. The Green is like a spray grease, and it provides a protective covering. A bit messy, and very heat resistant.

I only use the red on the vette frame.
I use both on the other cars.

Cheers

No, I wouldn't use it on the chrome. It creates quite a sticky layer.
It certainly would create a great protective layer, but would be quite a job to clean in the spring.
