Cam bearing for a '67 327 with a comp cams XE268?
Hello, I'm putting a comp cams XE268 in my 327 but the cam bearing is wrong for this cam. Any ideas on which bearing I need?
Thanks,
Heavy Z

Never heard of that problem.
I was under the impression that all small block cam bearings are the same.
I doubt if you have aftermarket "roller" bearings (not roller cam).

Like Grumpy said, your problem isn't with the cam bearings as they are all standard and a replacement cam will have the same bearing journal size as an original cam. If you're having a problem getting the cam to slide in, you may not be pushing it in exactly straight. Anything other than a perfectly straight shot and a journal with hit the edge of a bearing and stop. Also be careful of the distributor drive gear as it can do serious damage to bearings if it scrapes them while passing through.

If you don't get it in, buy a special device at Jeg's or one of the on line shops. It's just for installing cams, or you can by some all-thread at a hardware stor and make you own. Hope this helps.

I assume you have removed the fuel pump and pushrod....
