Tasco Turquoise means what?
Corvettes have come in lots of colors with fairly obvious meanings, including colors that refer to race courses, such as Marlboro Maroon, Googwood Green, etc. So what does Tasco Turquoise from the late 50s and early 60s refer to? Even friends with cars that color don't know the answer. Here in the SF Bay area there is the Tasco oil refinery, but I don't think those cars got such poor mileage that this name makes sense! Anyone know the answer?

That's the first and only answer I've heard that makes sense. I didn't know there was such a place as Tasco, Mexico, or that they made turquoise jewelry there. Thanks for sharing your geographic knowledge!
