Gentlemen, I need your help. All original 67 BB hoods had LH hood supports. They had no provisions for it on the RH side. It is reported that some over the counter hoods may have had provisions for the hood support on the RH side. I would like to veryfy if this is true. I know a lot of you out there have other year cars and 67 SB cars that have BB hoods on them now. Please check your hoods for any factory mounting brackets built in on the RH side. They must be original type, factory, over the counter replacement units. The reciever brackets would be riveted into the sub frame of the hood with the solid large head factory rivet just like they are on the LH side. Are there any out there?

Thanks for the responses guys. But this is weak respose considering how many extra 67 BB hoods are out there. Does anyone have one that they are sure was bought over the counter? Does it have any RH provisions?

KidAgain said his was OTC - a service hood. Is there a problem with the hood on your 67 - trying to pass judges? If so, why not grind the heads of the rivets (for the extra plate) into their depressions and fill with glass? :confused:

No. I am just trying to determine if it ever happened. It is one of the excuses for some saying that their 67s came with these hoods.
