I can't remember exactly, but it seems I weighed one to ship and it was about 175 lbs for the bare block.
If yours is bare, and you have a bathroom scale, set it on and find out. If more than the usual 200 lb scale, set two scales side by side and a board across to weigh it.

Here's some numbers from recent shipments.
327 block - 175#
8 327 pistons - 25#
Crankshaft (just weighted) 50#
Cam - 10#
Go to Small Businees Trucking.com (www.freight101.c0m) for best prices on freight shipment. Will need to: a. deliver block to terminal and, b. pick block up at terminal if you are not shipping to a business. If to/from a business, price is a little lower.

Strap it to a pallet. Shrink wrap it. Deliver it to a trucking company. Have the guy on the other end pick it up at the trucking company's dock.
Go to an industrial area and drive up and down the streets. There's always free pallets available. 2 strong guys can pick up a bare block and pallet. You can buy shrink wrap cheap. Or, cover it and tie thecover with rope. The trucking is relatively cheap. It only gets expensive at the ends - if they have to deliver to a place without a loading dock. If you can deliver and pick up at their place at both ends, it's cheap.
There's an Internet site for this - freight.com, or something like that.
