I have a complete 283 motor casting number 3737739 with a set of correct dated 3755550 heads. I don't know the bore as the heads are still on the motor but from the looks of the motor it has never been apart.
Casting date on block is I-10-8
Casting date on heads is G-24-8
Comes with a set of OEM aluminum finned valve covers

I can email you the suffix but, please keep in mind chances are slim it's a Corvette suffix.
I check the suffix after several people asked about it. It is not a Corvette suffix though it is a flint block. So, here's what we have. We've got a flint cast block with the correct casting number, the correct date for the future buyers car, the correct casting number on the heads and the correct casting date of the heads for the future buyer car and this particular block. Seems to me people are trying to split hairs here worrying about the suffix but, I race them. I don't judge them. I know what I'd do if I needed this thing.

I forgot to ad, this motor comes with correct head bolts, correct timing chain cover and screws (all correct), balance damper and oil filter canister. It also has the correct exhaust manifolds on it for the 230 horse.

The motor above has been sold although I do have another 739 Short block that is cast dated: C-27-8
Front pad shows it's a Flint Block.
