Default 1967 427 BB L88 Hi Performance motor 4 sale

I have a 1967 427 L88 BB motor I may be willing to sell. It was rebuilt by StrokerMotor.com in Dallas in May of 08 as I was going to use it in a 1956 project car that I am building and it came with the car.I have not ran the motor, heard it run or know anything about its past. It has been freshly built with roller rockers and has the sidewinder intake. Nothing drastic, or over the top has been done. It should be the 435 HP stock engine or (460 HP with the rollers). No pulleys, or carb but the rest of the motor is complete. The heads and block are stamped HI-PERF and I have the specs of the build sheet. I was going to use it in my 56 chevy but have have since found it is likely 1 of 20 Hi-Perf 427's made in 1967. If interested I can get the block / head stamp ID and post it as well. The motor was disassembled - Honed the Block, .30 I think or less, Vatted block / baked in oven - new Lifters, Freeze plugs/brass-Piston rings/Moly-Oil pump/hi volume-Gaskets (oil pan, timing cover, head, rear main seal, intake) Bearings (rod, main, cam), new fluid harmonic and the motor has been balanced. That's as far as I got with the motor thus far- Basically very ready to be installed with minimal effort. It may go on Ebay with a reserve soon because I haven't decided exactly what the motor is worth, Any Ideas out there?

I did not see and rules about listing a price (my bad) nor did I realize I was in the (c-5) section. again (My bad). This was my first forum posting of any kind. I simply have a motor that I thought one of your corvette gurus might like to have and I was tryinmg to see if anyone wanted it for their vette. I will unsuscribe from your forum now. Thanks for your input.

we all like to go by the rules is all....But if you want hits on the motor, posting in the c5 section really wont do you alot of good, you would want to post into the older sections. The moderators here are pretty good, you could ask them to move the post for you. I would think the c1 section would be alot better for you, as alot of people dont really move around the sections. Good luck.

Oh and by the way, you still need to list a price on the motor. If you are unsure, then just post a price and take offers as well.

The pad stamp will tell you. Odds are it is not an L88. Owner says 435 HP. L88's were 430 HP (really about 600 W/headers and tuning). If he don't know this he don't know what he has. All the blocks have Hi Perf cast into them.

I keep an eye out for these as one of the 20 real L88 motors and matching trans were stolen out of a friends garage in Winfield IL in 2005. These were rebuilt and wrapped in plastic. Keep thinking they may turn up.
