406 SBC for sale, complete minus carb. Newly built
I have my 406 SBC That I need to get rid of, I wanted to keep it around as a back up, but my hours got cut at work and it has to go.
Here are the specs.
Motor
400 bored and stroked
406 Cubic inches
11:5.1 compression
Cola Crank
Pink rods
SRP pistons flat top pistons
Clevite bearings
Large Hydraulic roller camshaft(will give specs to buyer) Duration @50 300/300
Brand new Auminum Brodix Spec 2 heads, fully ported and polished
New valves, springs, locks retainers keepers, valve seals.
Performer Edelbrock RPM intake
Moroso deep pan
Flex plate
Comp Cams Rocker arm studs
Chromoly hardened pushrods
Comp cams Hydraulic roller lifters
Crank pulley
Fuel Block Off plate
Im asking $3000 firm.
The motor will be everything from intake to pan, No valve covers.
The car saw a best time this spring of 11.65@117MPH. That is with the car weighing full weight, stock suspension, springs shocks from 1991. Stock 10 bolt rear with a stock gear, and a 2400 convertor. With a gear suspension, and a larger convertor in a car at the same weight, you could see low 11"s on motor. The motor was also built to handle N20.
I had never sprayed the motor. There are currently about 5,000 miles on the engine since it was put together. The motor has seen 5 track passes.
Here are some pics of the motor still in the car,The motor has been pulled, I will get pics of it tomorrow.

The first video is the camaro in the left lane on street tires, Verse a AWD Talon with a upgraded turbo, intercooler and a 75 shot.
This video is me in the left lane on slicks Verse a Evo with a 2 step, larger turbo, boost, intercooler.
