Big Block Chevy forged 427 Rotating assembly
For sale or trade I have a Big Block Chevy 427 Std –Std 6223 Forged steel crank, forged pistons (std) and 7/16 Dimple rods in very nice condition.
I have a set of eight big block Chevy factory hi-performance forged GM TRW 427 standard bore pistons and 7/16 dimple rods. The rods have been reconditioned with new boron bolts, bearings and rings are new.
GM Pistons 3888304 std Compression would be between 11.2 and 11.5 depending on chamber size, quench, gasket thickness, etc... That is with Closed chamber heads of 108 to 110 cc. Dome is about 23 cc. With a set of set of factory open chamber heads it will drop your compression by about 1.3. So you would wind up with a very friendly 9.8 to 1. L88/ L-72.
Trades: Looking for 950 HP, 850, 870 vac sec Holley, Roller cam kit for street 496.
