Original GM 1961 Borg Warner T10 4 speed close ratio transmission. This unit is correct for 1961 Chevrolet Corvette or Impala. This unit will also fit all 1957-1963 Chevrolet vehicles directly. This is a close ratio unit with no rings on the input shaft. 1st gear ratio is 2.20, 2nd gear ratio is 1.64, 3rd gear ratio is 1.31, and 4th gear is 1.00. This transmission appears to be a nice original unit. The input shaft has 10 splines and the output shaft has 16 splines. The main case has a casting number of T10-1B and is dated B 6 1 (February 6, 1961). The tail shaft has a casting number of T10-7A and is dated 2-10-59. There are no chipped, broken, or damaged gear teeth. When this unit is spun over, it feels excellent with no major slop or issues. It also spun over fine in all 4 gears and shifts with no problems whatsoever. All of the engagement teeth look great with no major wear or damage. The main case is has no cracked or broken ears and no welds or damage. There are no stripped holes or heli-coils in the main case. The tail shaft is in good shape with no cracks, damage, or welds. There are no stripped holes or heli-coils in the tail shaft. This unit is pretty clean and will need a light cleaning up before being installed. This unit is 100% matching numbers front to back! These original early close ratio Borg Warner T10's are becoming extremely hard to find. Asking $1000

This trans turns, shifts, and feels real good. I do think it could use new seals.
