Original data plate from owners manual on 67 427-435, looking for current owner!
About 15 years ago, I owned a 1967 Corvette 427/435 Silver with black stinger corvette in Oklahoma. I sold the car locally and recently found the original data plate that came from the factory attached to the Owners Manual with the attached original owner (Guthrie, Okla.) name and address on tape attached to the plate! The VIN is 194377S121358, this plate is very valuable to the value of this car which is more documentation to its authenticity! Other information on plate: STD986 VIN T0607JEH FA0623W T P7H12.
Would like to reunite this data plate with the current! Will talk price of this plate later. Plate is in excellent condition as is the attached name of original owner. The plate is still attached to part of the owners manual back page! Thanks

Jim, that's pretty interesting indeed. I emailed him the listed owner from the C2 registry. Wonder whose car matches ALL the items on the POP...

Data Plate
Again thanks for connecting me with the current owner in CT. We have made contact, I've sent him some pics of the data plate and some pictures of car when i had it back 20 years ago and some history of the car which i'm sure he didn't have knowledge of! My question is what is this data plate worth? I know documentation means $$$ on value especially on the era of this car, sometimes can mean the difference between fetching $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 depending on the condition of the car, etc.. Anyhow if you had this data plate in your possession what would a fair market price be? Thanks

It can be worth 5k or more depending on the car. If the owner seems like a genuinely nice person and has the car because he loves it vs. an investment, personally I would give it to him for free because it belongs with the car. In the end it's your decision to determine the price and the owners to decide whether he should pay the price.

price of a repro
i had a conversation with someone who claimed they have my window sticker. if i were interested in paying for the item, i would have offered the price of a repro. i chose to not to offer.
you should put up pictures to make a good faith point that you have the item.

What is also interest to determine, if money changes hands, are two points:
First, NCRS does not judge POP's under the current judging guidelines due to the reproductions being so accurate.
Secondly, the POP being offered has an assembly stamp of T0607JEH (on POP's the "H" was added for Holley Carburetion)
The two engine stamps on file have assembly dates T0613JE & TO620JE.
Point being is there a third vin 21358 with assembly date T0607JE?
Or, does the POP for vin 21358 have a wrong assembly date stamped.
Just more data to consider.

Well I made contact with the possible owner of the car through email, who said he was interested in some pics and any history on the car! I told him the history i knew about the car, probably wasn't what he wanted to hear! Haven't heard back, thanks for your help, i think this piece of history will go back in my safe!
