Burning Brakes
I have original L and R horn from my 65 April car. The horns worked a few years ago when I removed them.
They are Delco Remy, 9000 437 on one corner and 503 L on the other. Second horn is 9000 438 on one corner and 564 R on the other.
don't see a date code as you listed??

This is a little concerning... Joe Perri is the end all be all of Corvette horns. Have you tried to give him a call? I'm not claiming Joe to be cheap but when you factor in the time and effort you've spent hunting, posting, researching at best I believe you'd obtain a core that still needs to be restored. Which in case you'd likely send to Joe. Why not contact the guy and see what he has in stock? I've done thousands of dollars of business with Joe and unconditionally recommend his product(s). True craftsman. Good luck!

I replaced the horns in my 65 a few years ago. The ones that came out were the same style as Wilber's. The numbers are 9000, 438, 5G4 the second horn was 9000, 487, 5G3 L . They need a rebuild.
