Default Grooved Leaf Springs

I have a partial set of leaf springs. They are grooved and the ends are flipped. However, the overall measurements do not conform to the normal four leaf springs on 53-62 Corvettes.

Were grooved springs manufactured by Eaton used on other vehicles besides Corvette.

Thanks,
Ed

Hi Ed: You’re referring to “groove” along the leaf centerline. Technical term is “Keystone” section as defined by the SAE Leaf Spring sub-committee. Material thickness and widths were released by the same committee with the OEM’s involvement. The Keystone section was popular from the 30’s to the mid-sixties when it was dropped by SAE, simply too expensive to roll. All of the automobile manufacturers and aftermarket utilized that material for conventional leaf springs.
Hope this helps.
