Default Defroster box

It is located under the dash and attached to the blower motor plenum. Where it attaches to the plenum it is square then it extends from right to left with two outlets on top for the defroster hoses.

Can someone provide a picture? Might have one that came with a 58 basket case. Had some 57 parts included.

Thanks Joe for looking. In that basket case 58 do you have the left window regulator. Cheers Jim

jpressick,

You probably want original parts but i didnt want to pay $200 for a piece of cardboard crap so i took the flapper out of mine, which was destroyed years earlier from water and age, went to Lowes and bought a small sheet of aluminum sheet metal and some pop-rivets, made a pattern from cardboard, and built one. Cost me about $30.00 and i am sure it will last forever and after some insulation and black painting it isnt even noticable.

Great idea. Unfortunately I don't even have the flapper to build one or that's the way I would go. Thanks.
