I know its a long shot, but I figured I'd post this in case someone, someday, does a search of my motor's VIN number 104293

OK - its either a Muncie OR a Borg-Warner -- can't be both.
BWs were used in early '63 and Muncies started in late '63 April/Mayish...

I think the OP's last line is a "search terms" list of different names and configurations in case someone is doing an Internet search.

Frank,

I may be reading it wrong, but wouldn't his VIN eliminate the Muncie, being an earlier '63, and it would have to be a Borg-Warner, wouldn't it?

Well this thread now pops right up on Google when you search my VIN! Hopefully the motor miraculously turns up somewhere.
Vettebuyer is correct, I put all the Corvette terms up there for search engines to catch.

I've got a replacement Muncie in my 63 now, but my original T-10 would have the VIN stamped in it as well wouldn't it?

Yes. That was my point entirely.
I wish him luck on his search

May not be what yor looking for but I have this one I would sell. It came with a 68 Camaro I'm restoring. I would have to look at the date code but I know it's '62 date code which I would think would be correct for a '63 vette. Dave 303-670-8950
