Default WTB: 3748770 head

Looking for ONE 3748770 head preferably dated Jan of 58 but Feb of 58 would work also.

Not looking for a head that has been milled or has had several valve jobs.

I would consider a pair within the same date frame if the price is right.

My brother has a nice pair of 770's both dated K187. Is that too early for your needs? I'll get more info if you're interested.

Tom,

Here's the info and some pics on the heads. My brother has a 739 engine as shown that is dated L117 and stamp pad XXXXXX if you may be interested in a package deal.

CYLINDER HEADS:
Casting #3748770 and casting date of K187 on both heads. They have the correct “X58” cast into the exhaust port side. Heads have the staggered valve cover bolt holes. Please note the guides have been machined for PC type seals. There is a very small chip on one edge of a head bolt boss. Heads include all valves, valve springs, rockers, shields, retainers, and locks. Heads were professionally pressure tested and shot peened. The machine shop said this was a “real nice pair of heads.” The valves were also media blasted. A couple of the valves have some pitting and the others are in very good condition. One rocker has a small chip by the ball seat. One rocker stud has a very slight bend. Head bolts are original GM but do not all have the same markings.

Price is $1,100 plus shipping from UT to PA. Rough guess is about $100 to ship. Let me know if you need any more information or pictures. You can email me direct at: terryhaut@bajabb.com.

Thanks,
Terry
