Wtb - 1960 pedal box sleeve
Well, NEVER NEVER work on your car when you are too tired. I managed to completely **** the steel pedal box sleeve that the brake pedal swivels on the outside of and the clutch pedal swivels inside of. Finished night shift this morning had some tradesmen over replacing the showerscreen so thought what easy task can I do while they are here ... I know ... I'll reassemble my now resently dismantled and painted pedal assy.
When I restored my pedal box I got some paint on the inside of the brake pedal so when I then inserted the new plastic bushes and then assembled the pedal inside the frame with the sleeve all was extremely tight and when I tried to push out the sleeve with a drift that was too small I ended up flaring the sleeve inside the brake pedal until it was stuck firm ... and the rest is history ... have some pity on me please.
Appears that I can't buy a new replacement so if you have a spare please let me know.

Is this what you are talking about (red arrow) ??
If so, that'll be a tough find...check with vettegal (partsqueen on eBay) and fueliedave...

Yep that is it. I may have found one on ebay ... still negotiating.
Bubba pulled me in to the darkness ... only just managed to escape but by then it was too late for the sleeve assy.

One more thought -- you might want to check with Mike Coletta and John McGraw on here...they both do C1 restomods and might have held on to some of the old under-dash parts...

Believe it or not I've tracked one down via ebay for $20. Was on a modified pair of pedals that no one bid on (pedals - no box) and the seller was prepared to sell the sleeve on its own. After I shagged mine I went on to ebay and think the listing like only had 45 minutes left to run ... was meant to be... just thought he had gotten cold feet when I mentioned postage to Aus ... ALL GOOD.
Thanks FTF for your input and help ... problem overted
