OK. I'm tired of shopping so going to the forum. Need a NEW ACDelco 40083 fuel pump for my 66 327/350 vert.

When you say "new", do you mean recently manufactured and not used? Or an NOS, never used version?

If you are looking for a modern NEW 40083 replacement, they are readily available. I purchased one as a spare for my 66 from Paragon a few months ago.

If you are looking for a correct original 40083, I highly doubt you will find a new one (NOS). They had a very limited usage and are pretty rare. I found a near NOS one at Carlisle a couple of years ago and was glad to pay $200 for it.

You will occassionally see rebuilt one on Ebay for $400 or so. Be careful, if you don't know for sure how to identify a correct original, PM me and I can send you some information including good pictures how to identify one.

You will see a number of them on Ebay that are listed as 40083s, but most of them or later replacements or new replacements and not correct original 40083. There are three originals on Ebay now.
