Default WTB Carter 3191S carburetor for 1962

Need carb with original foil tag. Should have 6-1586 or 6-1672 cast in the air horn, and 0-1451 or 0-1465 cast on the main body.
Fits 1962 250hp motor.
Thanks

I should have mentioned in the title--this is a WCFB carb (3191S).

Does the date code on the tag matter?

Will a WCFB with correct air horn, body, base plate numbers but no carb tag work for you?

I will be checking the pile of WCFBs at the farm this weekend.

It might. Condition and price would be major factors. Tag doesn't need to be early.

I went out to the farm today and gathered up all of the carbs I could find.

One carb I found was a 3190S - 1962 250hp WCFB. Carb has 6-1586 air horn and 0-1451 body. Carb is complete and moves free but will need a complete rebuild. The tag is dated J 1. The tag is also marked 3788245 above the 3190S marking.

Is J 1 September or October of 1961?

Would this work for you?

If not, it will be heading for Ebay.

PM me for details.

Found two more WCFBs.

This 3190S listed above, and a 1957 single four barrel WCFB, top plate 6-1271, main body 0-1108. This would be a 2655S, but does not have a tag with it.

It would not surprise me to find more carbs hidden in corners, but this is all I have located so far.

I got the two WCFBs, a Rochester one barrel, and 4 Rochester QuadraJets.

Once I get them all sorted out and identified, they will al be for sale.

Also got an old Sun Super Tach, a 63 Corvette brake master cylinder, a 64 passenger car brake master cylinder.

The stuff hidden in cabinets, corners of the garage, and attic continue to amaze me.

Sorry guys, I should have made this clear.

These parts are not yet ready for sale. When they are ready, in a few weeks, they will most likely end up on Ebay. Sorry for the confusion.

Ed,
Thanks very much for looking. It's much too early, and I need it for a manual transmission. Thanks for following through on it for me.
Mike
