But Corvette Central sells a 56-57 tank that works perfect - you have to bend the bottom flange down slightly.
Fits perfect.

56 -57 tanks work perfect - I have installed several - Vette Daddy on here has installed dozens - they work perfect.
I use a 57 non vented tank from Corvette Central.
