I have a 1965 original numbers matching car with a 1966 front grille. I am looking for a used or NOS 65 front grille to complete this car. I actually had the car for several years before I realize the grille was not original year. I traced the car back to the early 70's and the grille was still a 66.

Good luck in finding a good quality 65 grille. I have been looking for a 65 grille for over a year. Beware of Ebay or Craigslist. The sellers do not seem to describe the item correctly. Stick with a good Corvette member of Corvette Forum, Driveline or Vette Vues and you will be fine. If you find two, please let me know and I will buy the 2nd one.
