Default AFB Carb

I have for sale a Carter Afb 3089s . Perfect condition, very clean and plating very nice. Was on my 63 until this year when I decided to go for the original factory AFB which cost me big $$$. It is a perfect bolt on no hassle fit just like the original. Performs flawless and looks identical to the original..no rebuild needed on this one. Can send pics if desired..$150.00 plus shipping.

Yes it is identical to the original one I put on my 63 300 HP. The gas line, the choke, the throttle linkage. A direct bolt on and go for my 63. Being a 327-300 HP I am sure it will work fine. I decided to go with original factory 4163s just to be correct if I decide to have it judged. The carb is in very good condition and performed flawlessly. I drained all the gas out and stored in air tight plastic bag..thanks for your interest.

Would like to purchase from you, however, I see one difference in my carb and yours. Mine has a hose going from the oil fill tube to the back of the carb. It doesn't look like there is a place for this hose on the back of yours. Did your 63 have a hose running from the oil fill tube??

No my hose from oil tube went to the breather. The hose you are referring to is the hose from pcv valve to the tube. You are correct, there is no fitting on the carb for pcv. My engine has the pcv eliminated and running draft tube for venting the crankcase. Some intakes (mine does) have a threaded hole with a plug in it for pcv valve hookup. This would probably be the only way to use this carb.

Just be prepared for sticker shock. Going price for restored correct carb for your 63 is about $800.00. Average restoration on a rebuildable carb is $400-$500. I know cause i just did that to my 63.

Did your stock air cleaner clear the choke and fit on carb without any adapter plate? Do you still have carb?

Yes my stock dual snorkel air cleaner fit perfect. Had no choke fitment problem. There was no spacer plate on it but I do have one hanging on the shelf if you would like to have it. Oh yeah I forgot to mention it is still for sale.
thanks
