Default WTB: That Big Block you are not using

Hey guys...

This is kind of a feeler thread. I have been looking for a car, and its been hit n miss, with a lot of misses.

I found one car though that ticks a bunch of the boxes.... It was a former '65 L78 and seems to have most of the L78 tuff still in place except for the motor itself.

So, does anyone have a 396, 427, or 454 motor that they are not going to use? I'm looking for one as complete and "period appearing" as possible.

My goal would be to set the car up as something you'd see in the 68-72 era in a parking lot or at the DQ on a Friday night.

If you have anything, or any leads, please let me know!

Revfan,

My dad spoke to Paul this morning and mentioned an interested party was looking for a motor for the black car. If you send me a PM, I’ll be happy to pass on my dad’s info. We’d love to help you out and see if something works for you and the car.

My dad has been a collector for years and has accumulated 4-5 big blocks. He’s been thinking about selling something to make some room.

Thanks, Jason

I have a May of 1965 962/208 long block out of a Chevelle---rather expensive
Have a otc May 962 short block, perfect broaching as never stamped
Have later 427 and 454 short and long blocks, heads, intakes, timing covers, balances, oil pans, starters, alternaters, brackets, etc.,etc..
