I have read varying specs on what camshafts came in a 56 Vette. Some say the 210 hp 265 came with solid lifters, some state hydraulic lifters. Some sources state that the 449 high lift cam option was close to 097 Duntov solid lifter specs. Some soures state that all 56 Chevy 265 engines came with solid lifters and others say the standard engines came with hydraulic lifters and the "power pack" engines came with solid lifters if equipped with a manual transmissions. Am sure some of the experts on this forum can chime in. Thanks.
