'65 Restomod on ebay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/111327601167...84.m1423.l2649
I know this listing has expired, but what do you guys think about this car? More importantly, does anyone know the history of the car?
I am definitely not a #s matching guy, and like restomods. This one looks pretty clean from the pics and youtube video the guy posts.
Thanks CF!

Here is dealer/consignment company where it is for sale. Anyone familiar with Paragon Corvette Reproductions or Bob Phelps Motorsports? Both are in Michigan. I'm in TX, so I don't know about either. Thx.

Well, one thing is for sure... the bids were fake. The high bid was $65.8k but he posts a note that it sells at $67k?
And Paragon Corvette is one of the most well-known Corvette parts supply companies in the business.

I agree about the bids being fake, and yes... the ZR1 wheels do not fit the car. A nice set of 5-spokes would serve it well.

Thanks for the info... that is too much $$ for a stock frame/suspension car. I figured as much when I sent the guy a couple of inquiries and he responded that he "didn't have any pics of the undercarriage."

Typical response from someone who knows little about the merchandise re hours of build time, money invested in updates, base price of nice candidate to begin with.
Typical restomods I have seen are priced between 125 - 175. Don't let a set of thirty dollar badges distract from a beautiful car. I think its a winner.

LOL... I know exactly what these cost to build. I haven't seen the undercarriage b/c the owner/consigner doesn't have pics. Sounds like someone above has, so my response was based on these two _facts_.
Your response is typical of someone who thinks they know a lot more than they do about another Vette owner looking at a car.
If this car had a completely tubular frame, C4 or upgraded suspension... then you are 100% correct... its over $100k car, and yes, some are certainly in the $150k range. Doesn't sound like this car is close from the research I've done.
And FWIW, obviously the guy who built it loves the badges and wheels... and any prospective buyer (including myself) would never let that cosmetic stuff bother him/her.

I saw this car in person. It was at the flint auto auctions yearly corvettes & classic auction. It got o bids. Starting bid 60 no bids. Stock frame engine compartment needed a few changes. Real nice car but the stock frame holds it back.

Looks nice enough in pics, and the personal taste cosmetic choices are easily changed.
Where the tube chassis restomods can bring in big bus, I think that the lower end of the restomod market is a bit undefined, this being one example.
Not sure why the OP questions if anybody knows the history of a car, but perhaps he/she doesn't mean history as in NCRS, but history as in who did the work, how long has it been for sale, etc. History such as numbers matching has little value in a restomod, obviously.

Appreciate all of you who made constructive comments about the particular car in question.
