Documented 1965 Two-Owner Tuxedo Black/Red Coupe (IL)
I am selling this car for a friend and I have received approval from the Moderators. I will be responsible for the sale from start to finish and at any other time. The owner will also be available when you come to inspect the car.
This a two-owner, numbers matching 1965 Coupe equipped as follows:
RPO
M35 Powerglide Transmission (Factory Issued)
J50 Power Brakes
A02 Tinted Windshield
U69 AM/FM Radio
P92 Whitewall tires
N40 Power Steering
G81 Positract 3.36 Axle
L75 327/300HP Engine (Factory Issued HP Suffix)
900AA Tuxedo Black
407 Red/Vinyl
This car was purchased on June 21,1965 at:
Sullivan Chevrolet Company
500 S. Vine
Urbana, IL
The car has resided within 5 miles of this dealership its whole life. In the mid 80's it was body-on restored which included a new laquer paint job, brakes and seat covers. Also, added at that time were knock-off wheels.
Among the original documents included with the sale of this car are:
-Copy of the 1965 title
-Original Sale Invoice dated June 21,1965
-Window Sticker
-Owners Manual
-AM/FM Operating Instructions
-Original Plastic Pouch
-Corvette Owners Guide
-Owner's Patch and Owner's Pin
Also, included are the original steel wheels, wheelcover and factory brake calipers. Further, the engine block, transmission, carb and alternator are the ones it left St. Louis with in June 1965.
This is an outstanding examples of a 1965 Corvette in a striking color combination of Tuxeco Black/Red. You will be hard pressed to find another car like this. The car is located 2.5 hours South of Chicago. Asking $69,000 OBO.
More detailed pictures will follow.
Thank you,
George Linares

Now I'm REALLY CONFUSED!!!!...unless I'm misreading/interputing your reply. The engine is "Running", yet the ignition key position shows "off", the tach reads "0" RPMS & there is NO oil pressure? & after driving "thru the park for about 10 minutes"....the trip odometer reads 0000...Mark

When the ignition is turned off, the temperature and fuel gauges remain stationary until power is restored to the gauges by turning on the ignition.

As you can read, Gilnares stated; and I quote..." The car was running at the time"
Now after Editing Gilnares post reads; and I quote;...The car had just been shut off at that time. We drove it thru the park for about 10 minutes then stopped to take some pictures.
Good eye!!!
Thanks,
George

So my question is;...Was the car "running" when the photos were taken as indicated by glinares in his first "Unedited" post?
Or "The car had just been SHUT OFF" as indicated in the edited post.
Not looking to stir the pot, just looking to clarify the discrepancies...Mark

IMO the the car is priced correctly/accurately. VERY nice car. You will have NO problems selling this car. Documenting a black midyear is impossible, so with the original docs you have on the car is a HUGE selling point. Stunning combo, GLWS. ARA
