Don't know if I posted this one before... but White/Blue is stunning

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Conv. Numbers match, 4-speed, exc! - $49995 (North Dallas/Richardson)
1965 Corvette Roadster (Convertible). Correct Ermine White (C-C) with white/blue interior (450 B) and white convertible top in nearly new condition.Numbers matching L75 327/300 hp with 4-speed manual transmission. Optional knock-off wheels (RPO P48) correctly painted dark grey between the fins, including new knockoff hubs and a new hammer, with BF Goodrich Silvertown Goldwall tires (reproductions of correct factory option T01). Correct ignition and distributor shielding. Over $3,900 in recent (2014) service receipts, to make it ready to drive anywhere. June 2014 service includes new brakes from the master cylinder to the pads (including rotors, calipers and lines); carb rebuild; battery; air filter; oil & filter; transmission gear oil; rear end fluid; and state inspection. Runs and drives wonderfully (even with bias ply tires). Engine, transmission, clutch, brakes, all operate just as they should. Very easy to drive. Everything works, including all gauges, the clock, radio, power antenna, side and vent glass. Paint, upholstery, seats and carpets are in very good to excellent condition. Some minor pitting on a few chrome trim pieces. Bumper chrome is in good condition. Overall appearance is excellent. This car can be driven anywhere with pride. Excellent NCRS candidate with not a lot of work. Or drive everywhere and enjoy! Very original, very tight and fun to drive! Priced very reasonably at $49,995. Call/email for more information or pictures.

Basically, the guy has a 66, and somebody posts a link to his Original Motor for sale on Craigslist... in the same week, he finds his original Transmission (a different owner/location) in another Craigslist ad... how awesome is that![/QUOTE]

That is pretty awesome and so is the color!

Thanks again, Revfan. You really know how to find them. I sent a note on the blue/blue car but I have a potential line on a car from one of the fellow CF members and I want to see how that plays out. I'll let you know.

Jeff, I have been following your search. I did a body on mechanical restoration of 64 white/red coupe. I love it. I am its third owner. Now I want to restore a 64-67 roadster. So, any left overs you or the others guys hear of please let me "eat the scraps". I am looking for a 327/300 4 sp. in silver, white, red or black exterior. So, I want one that may need new interior and paint. Also, ok if I have to do mechanics too. But, I want a rust free frame/ birdcage with minimal body probelms. I want to spend in the mid 20s to low 30s.

Did you ever look at the 65 white roadster in Las Vegas? I researched it and found out that he had sold it on ebay for $32,700 in Oct of 2013 and the buyer did a great review of seller and car. But, now it is back on CL for $40K and been lowered to $37K with same seller. Not very friendly on phone either.

Again, I enjoy your search. Good luck. Keep me in mind if you spot a rust free "fixer" that doesnt interest you . Roger

Roger,
I talked to the gentleman with the white car in Las Legas but I didn't pursue it further primarily because he said it was originally a blue car (I think, I can't find my notes).

If I come across anything fitting your description, I'll let you know.

Hey
I know this might not be "exactly" what you think you are looking for, but I think that if it all checked out (solid car with no birdcage/frame issues), you would have a TON of fun with this car...
1965 Corvette Convertible (396 BB)- $52000 (Lubbock, Texas)

1965 Corvette Convertible. 396 cubic inch NOM, 4 Speed, Nassau blue with white convertible top. Car is original big block car with non matching number 396 motor. Black interior with rare option power windows. It has factory side pipes, and is loud. It has knock/off wheels . This car has no power steering, no power brakes, no air conditioner. Please know what you are inquiring about before inquiring. It is a true piece of American Automobile History, and is very cool. Serious inquiries call Micky at 806-239-seven -zero-eight-zero.
The ASK is $52... so you could probably land it for a little under $50K. An inspector worth his salt should be able to give you his impressions of the car, and if it may have been an original L78 or not

Definitely a good idea to have someone local check it out first. The 66/67 egg crate grill normally wouldn't bother me a lot because all 3 of our 65 Coupes had gotten 'tapped' up front at one time or another and had the next issue grill in them but that grill is sitting a bit twisted so it would bear investigation. Too bad the owner didn't take some better engine compartment pics or the VIN/Trim tags. The seats and carpet are tossers and I see 67 dash ***** (not a big deal but still begs the question...why?) That hood sure looks to be darker than the rest of the car and no mention of the removable hardtop even though the rear deck hardware for one is present.

Revfan, thanks so much for continuing to think of me as you search. I sometimes think I'm being too picky but at the same time I don't want to have any regrets. The BB blue car isn't quite what I'm looking for (for now, anyway). I'm still hoping to find an original motor, number matching colors, and no black interior (black seats get really hot here!).

Mike, thank you for the critical review. I keep learning more about what to look for on these cars. I'm depending on guys like you to help me make the right decision and you (and everyone on the forum) have been very helpful.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the only green in 66 was Mosport. Looks like a good price though, but only one photo tells little.

Not great lighting but I'd guess that is Laguna Blue.
