Wtb: 65 - 67 convertible project
I am looking for 1965 - 67 convertible project. I do have very nice driver in my garage and now I need something to do. So here is what I am looking for:
- 1965 - 67 convertible
- originally small block car with manual trans
- car could be roller so no engine and trans needed
- solid frame without massive rust repairs waiting
- solid birdcage
- original rotating headlight system is very big +
- no wild body modifications
- it would be nice if interior is there or at least all parts where to begin
- maybe 1966 - 67 coupe is possible, but I prefer convertible
If you think that your car is the right one please send a PM.

Mid-Year Classic Project Corvette - $35000 (Gilmer)
This one look interesting...
1967 Corvette Convertible project. Complete vehicle, late model 375 hp 350 cid engine, tested but not driven. Remanufactured Borg-Warner 4 speed transmission. Ermine White in color, paint in great shape, blue ribbon trim. 427 hood. This is a great investment for an already started, but not quite completed project. Not that far left to go but I cannot think of a more rewarding finish. I unfortunately can't finish this due to a minor disagreement between myself, my Harley, and gravity. Parts are super easy to find for this old Chevrolet. Call for more details, you know you want to. It's simple. Dial the number. You only live once, or YOLO as the kids say nowadays.

1966 Covertible
Sorry for the delayed reply. Was out of the country. I have a 1966 convertible that is complete with both tops. Everything works. It is listed under my postings 35711R. I am willing to negotiate if it is something that interests you. Let me know. Thanks.

All,
I talked to the fellow that owns this one at length the other day as he is ~ 2 hrs from me. Very nice guy who knows his stuff. BUT, the car has a TX Salvage title.
He didn't seem to know why. He bought it from Pro-Team, who's buyer was in trouble for purchasing the car to start with. I don't think it ever got titled in Ohio.
He claimed no frame damage, water damage, etc.
Just an FYI and I have no vested interest one way or another.
Good luck in your search.....

Burning Brakes
Title
I guess PT and other questionable dealers should sell more of these old cars with salvage/no title up here in Vt. Cars 15 years and older do not require a title, only a BOS and signature on the DMV tax and registration form. When I registered the 66, I had the title from Fl. they(DMV) did not even want it and let me keep it. When I sell it, all I need is the current Vt. reg. and a BOS.
The DMV does a vin. check at the time of reg.. They go outside and verify that the vin tag matches the BOS. I think that if anyone was trying to pass off a fake(vin tag) they could do it, as most inspectors have never seen a correct original vin tag(under the glove) and could not tell. They are to young. Stolen cars are a different item. I think.
Don't tell PT
