This is a numbers matching car purchased 33 years ago by the current owner. The car is painted the original color, Laguna Blue, GM Code 978, a dark blue metallic. The paint is in very good condition. The original hardtop is also included; it was recently painted. The convertible top is white and is in fair condition. The engine is the 350 HP/327 (L79 option). It was internally reworked by George DeLorean of Leader Automotive in Detroit; the heads were ported and polished, a hotter hydraulic cam was installed along with Rhoads lifters. A lightweight (13 lbs.) L88 flywheel was added and the ignition and carburetor were optimized. The car has headers (original exhaust manifolds come with the car) and an MSD 6a ignition system with a rev limiter (set to 6,000 rpm). A new clutch, pressure plate and shifter bushings were installed this July. The objective was to get big block power from a stock looking L79.

The suspension was re-tuned by a GM chassis engineer. The improvements include a bigger front stabilizer bar, a new rear stabilizer bar (no bar stock), adjustable gas shocks, a fiberglass rear spring, adjustable rear camber struts, 427 halfshafts, nyliner front bushings and quick ratio steering setting (2.9 turns, manual). The car has new NCRS approved knock-offs (5 lug bolt on) with new radial tires. It has a 4 speed M20 transmission (wide ratio) with the short throw shifter setting and a 3.70 positraction rear axle (was 3.36:1). It has manual brakes with a 1967 dual master cylinder, semi-metallic pads and calipers with stainless steel sleeves. The handling is greatly improved and the ride is also better than stock.

The black interior has leather seats with competition seat belts and is in very good condition.

This is a sharp looking, contemporary handling, very responsive automobile that is a treat to drive.
