He purchased the car on March 17, 1965 from Garrard-Milner Chevrolet in New Orleans, LA, paying $2,150.000 for what he thought would be a fun summer toy, not even realizing it was the last of its kind. The car presents well in Tuxedo Black with a Fawn Beige colored interior, monochromatic coves, and beige soft top. It also comes with its factory original removable hardtop, which is un-restored, but complete.Driven and enjoyed by one enthusiastic owner for nearly its entire life, it remains ready to enjoy today. The 327ci/300hp V8 under the hood revs freely, the suspension is tight and responsive, the 4-speed manual transmission shifts smoothly.
