Default Wanted Mid-Year Corvette

Hi Guys, I'm totally new to the forum, so really not sure what I'm doing yet, but here it goes. I'm looking for a 65 - 67 convertible. Doesn't have to be matching numbers. Just looking for a good solid driver. Of course clean frame and bird cage. Like some of the other forum members the budget is a little on the low side, the magic number is $40,000 give or take. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in the Fort Myers, FL area.

Pete

Default 1965 Convertible VIN#19467S116112 Marina Blue

I purchased my car in 1974 while living in Atl. I am the second owner, it has 78,900 miles. This is a numbers matching 250 HP Car, 4 speed, no options. It is now approx. 330 HP with all the 356HP equipment, under car off road exhaust system, It was stripped and painted w/ lacquer & clear in 75 paint is still darned good as it stays in garage w/ cover. It has a Al Knock blue interior, Al Knock white top and blue hard top w/ good window. Paint looks good has minor sand blast around front, original grille, replaced radiator and all the suspension has been rebuilt with all painted including the frame. This car never has a sign of rust anywhere. Runs and drives like a new 65. Every thing works as it should. I only drive it approx. 150-200 miles /year.
I would like to replace it with a 2004 C5/ZO6, so that's why its on the market. Would like to get about $46,000.00 or BO. Can send pictures if you like.
Gary, (gpilson@mindspring.com) 865 670-8560 Knoxville, TN.
