WTB Driver Quality 64 Roadster
I'm looking for a decent and solid driver with a mid 30's budget. Will consider all years but figure the most car for my budget will be a 64. I do not care about matching numbers but do want a good running, solid frame car. Serious buyer, please pm if you have anything. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Not sure where you're located but here is a 64 Roadster for sale listed in Craigslist for Prescott AZ. Saw this black roadster at our annual Corvette Show in late September and it looked like a decent driver. Non stock seat upholstery, headers, evidence of once having a removable hardtop but no mention of a hardtop with it currently.

Mike and Bob thanks for your replies. The Arizona 64 is the type car I am looking for and I will check it out. Bob your car looks beautiful but it is going to stretch my budget. ( For some reason my wife doesn't think we need another Vette!) I promised I could find what I was looking for in the mid 30s. Which after transportation and taxes puts you at $40k. I am in Missouri so I would prefer something closer but I know I'll have to be willing to look everywhere. There was a pretty nice 66 that sold at the KC Mecum auction earlier this month for $38k but unfortunately I wasn't registered to bid. I believe if I take my time I will find the right car though.

Still looking. I tried to contact the owner of the black 64 in Arizona but received no response. I have been negotiating on a 64 and 66 but have not yet reached a firm deal. We are pretty close though on the 64. If you have anything however I would be interested in hearing about it.

Hi Jim: No not yet. That situation is somewhat difficult in that while the owner initially was ready to sell he has family members discouraging him. He is still on the fence. Did you decide whether or not you were going to let yours go?
