Default For Sale: 1966 Sunfire Yellow/Black/Black Convertible with Non Original Motor

Clear Florida Title.

2004 GM ZZ4 high performance crate motor 350 with 350 HP - runs very strong
1966 M21 4 speed transmission with Hurst shifter
Paint is a 9 + out of 10 - really can't find any flaws. I looked hard, and so did my neighbor (also a classic car collector).
Chrome is excellent - one small surface rust spot on one front bumper about 1/2 size of a US dime or less
Black soft top is in nearly new condition

Vintage AC blows cold - not factory original but probably put on immediately after the car was built, possibly by the dealer that sold it
Teak Steering wheel looks fantastic.
Original AM/FM radio plays great.

Car currently has a '67 Big Block stinger hood but the original small block hood, painted along with rest of car, comes with the car (extra shipping cost if I have to ship it, no charge if you pick it up).

No hard top.
Backup lights do not work
Driver side vent does not close all the way
Odometer is not working. I have put an estimated 8,000 miles on the car since I bought it in 2005.

... The car DOES come with the 66 sb hood that was painted when the car was last painted.

The car is garaged in NW Florida, near Fort Walton Beach.
Asking $42,000.

I can personally vouch for this car as I drive by it almost everyday. I would buy it myself, but I cannot have two C2s until our new house is built. The car is a beautiful specimen, although I know nothing of the numbers etc and do not know the owner, I can tell you all of us here in Florida love looking at it. I stand to gain nothing from this post ( I don't know the owner but have stopped to look at the vehicle twice in the past month), but I can tell you if I wasn't building a house, I would be making a good offer if it passed the inspections on a lift.

I agree I looked at the car also, it is nice. I bought the 61, didn't have enough $$$ to buy both.

Very nice, well presented and honest car.

For all those folks that say they "are looking", well... here it is.

Best of luck!

I took some pictures yesterday. I'll post them up this morning after I get them off my phone.

Frame is solid. Recently wire-brushed the small amount of surface rust and touched those spots up with chassis paint.

This is a very nice car.

Not sure why the undercarriage pictures weren't posting properly. They seem to be working now.

Anyone not seeing all the undercarriage pictures, please reply in this thread.

I'm really surprised this car hasn't sold already. If you haven't already, I'd consider ebay. You can set a reserve so nothing to lose. I bought mine off ebay and even some other cars. There are people on there looking that have never heard of this forum. Expands your market. Just get the cash before you sign over the car and give delivery.

If it doesn't sell I'll just keep it. I'm not going to just give it away. It's far too nice a car to do that.

I actually had one guy call me up and say that since it wasn't red, and he wanted a red car, and he thought it would cost him $13,000 to have it paint it, I should discount it for that.

Ridiculous.

Is it a color change car? You haven't mentioned the Trim tag or the VIN tag.

Original trim tag puts it as a Sunfire Yellow car with black interior. Same as on the car now.
