WTB 65-66-67 coupe nom
I'm looking for a coupe project, possibly complete and without rust.
My change of prospective is due to prices and interest in a C2 with disk brakes and original BB option.
Since my budget, the original engine is not required, I will put a BB if not present.
MUST have:
-all parts
-no rust
-not involved in accidents
-clear title
NOT necessary:
-matching engine and components
-frame off restoration
-NCRS
-documented history
DESIRED:
-automatic
-67 model
-side pipes
-stinger hood
I'm not in the US so do you have any suggestion where to look?

Looking
Looking here is a good place to start. If you have a budget, post it.
Unless you are going to travel to see the car, I would suggest you wait until one that you like comes up on this forum. They do from time to time. Patience, Patience, Patience. If you are looking to get one soon, there are lots of dealers with fixer-uppers out there, remember these cars are almost 50 years old, and in a lot of cases way overvalued. Good luck in your hunt. It is fun looking.
Did I mention to take your time???
How did the song go? "My Momma told me, you better shop around"
Hope you are having better weather than we are. No one in this area will be out on the road in their(old) Corvettes till mid March, if then.

Thank you for the reply.
I actually went thru few restorations and I recently sold my 68 coupe and 70 conv.
My intention is to finally get what I always wanted, a 67 coupe. I'm not worried about getting my hands dirty but the base should be good. I've already got few engines that might do the job that's why I'd like to keep the price low with a nom.
My budget is around 30,000 for a complete car but I can add some more if I find the right one with the right parts because getting spare parts here in Europe might became quite expensive... been looking around for about 5 months now and I agree with the overvalued examples.
Any ad on craiglist or elsewhere to suggest?

As long as your experience, how much is a fair price for a straight, complete with a non matching engine -even not correct- 67 coupe?
For straight and complete I mean a rust free car with unmodified and undamaged body and possibly all the major parts -even to be restored.

Always good to hear from a fellow Corvette owner from across the pond. I agree with the earlier replies about being patient. Finding a 67' that doesn't have serious problems for 30k is difficult even with a NOM. They do on occasion turn up but have any car in that price range inspected before exchanging any funds. There are some con artists that advertise cars like you are seeking for a low price but often they don't even have a car for sale. These sometimes show up on Craigslist and even ebay. I guess the old saying that if it seems too good to be true was never more correct than when dealing with old cars. Good luck and I will post anything that might meet your criteria. You might also try to contact Tom Falconer or any of the NCRS guys in the UK for advice. Good luck.
