Default 65 Original paint survivor on ebay

IMO this is a great deal. This 65 is on the bay with 3 days left. It has a survivor award already. Glen Green coupe. Has factory teak, and side exh(from the factory not added) original paint car. no mods. I have talked to the seller and the reserve is $44,900K. A good price for an original paint car(no damage/wrecks). It is an L79 too! Owner says original interior is nice. Take a look if you are looking for this kind of car. I am still looking for a Goodwood 67, or I would be traveling to see this one. Not affiliated, just posting for others.

Default $49,9 buys it

Nice original car, but not driven much. Cars that sit around become projects for those who want to drive a car. Sitting is not good.IMO

These cars are the best investment because you can drive them and just keep them maintained, can't lose!

I like this type of car. They are not for everyone though. You are paying for originality. Which is far from great condition. The buyer of this car will have to love the car just as it is. If you can't live with below average paint etc it will be really easy to be upside down in this car. This is the type of car is the classic project creep. But as others have said. Just drive it, maintain it and enjoy. I know I would.

Everything on this car is 50 years old except for the rad., plugs and wires. What do you think the condition of all of those 50 year old parts are in? Maybe not worn out, but old. If you want a driver car, get a car that has been driven and maintained on a regular basis over the years. If you want an original car, this is it. If you plan on driving it much plan on replacing many of those original parts soon. JMO

Now $45,300 with 23 bids. This car will probably go over $50,000. Nice original cars are hard to find.

One day left to go, $45300.00. Nice survivor and all original by the looks of it. Just a word of caution for the buyer. Looks like the upper heater hose where it goes by the alternator belt to the manifold is rubbing or going to rub when that hose gets hot and expands. Look out.

True but how much do you really drive one of these cars? For most it's just a short Sunday drive. If you want it for transportation then you shouldn't be buying a 50 year old car.

Up here, we do not even get to drive on Sunday during the cold weather. I guess that poses the question, how many miles do you drive your C1 C2 in a year? Question for another post. We have 6 months or so of nice summer weather(if we get lucky). Not to hot to drive with the top down during the day, and great evenings when it is not raining. I would guess most of you know how well a car will run on a cool AM/PM when the air is dense, as opposed to a hot day. I am retired now and would drive on every nice day that I have to go out. Often up here, what starts out as a nice day, can quickly turn to rain. Another reason that I am looking for a coupe. I always got wet in my convert. if caught in the rain.

I'm not retired so I don't get to drive my car as much as I would like to. After a 5 year rebuild I drove about 1000 miles last summer. It's still not completed but they never are. It seems like I'm working on it more than I'm driving it but at least now I can work on it during the winter so I don't have to do too much during the summer.

It looks to me (and I don't think it's just shadowing in the pics) like the car has been black spray-bombed in the past. That negates much of the "originality" aspect of the chassis.

Looks like it sold for 45,600. Seems like a decent deal to me as a two-owner with documentation car with survivor award.

Had this been around when I was looking for a coupe I would have been all over it.
