Default 1967 Project

Gents;

No affiliation, but thought I'd post it for those who might be interested in a 67 coupe project for a mere $12.5k.

That is one of the biggest money pits i have seen in a while. The roof has been cut at the pillars, so i assume it was in a roll over. My guess is it would cost around 30,000 just to start with a decent body and the chassis isnt included. Ouch1

I like the flared rear fenders.

This same seller has a 1969 Firebird Trans Am for sale also but it's not in such nice shape as the Sting Ray. And it's priced in the high $20's. The questions and answers in this eBay ad is worth the read.

It sold for 10,500.
Btw, very funny ken. You know I typically like to buy them with all the damage covered up. It's more fun unwrapping the car like a present to find all of the ill repairs

I enjoyed reading the question asked to the seller that made him mad. Here it is in case someone did not see it.
Q:
do you have the decimal point in the wrong place ?
A:
Thank you so very much for your interest. I can give you the name of a good Edward Jones investment counselor for you. $1250. Thanks for the generous offer. I think the 67 coupe title and vin are worth a bit more. Good luck. The last one I sold like this went to Barrett Jackson and sold for $245K. You can buy a 67 driver - for say $35k....then spend 75 to finish. Or you can buy a shell and finish......do the math. Oh, sorry - you can't do math. Stick with the 1/18 scale models. They don't need gas or insurance either of which you probably are to cheap to pay. But thanks again for your interest.

I see no problem with his logic. A good coupe body with title & tags will easily bring 25k to a restomoder..... a complete car maybe 8k more. Who says they all belong in a museum. Most forget they were 4k drivers new and owners drove them. Today some are shrines, future projects, family jewels, works of art, movable shelves, and garage decorations. Far too many egos involved in the hobby. They should invest in Italian cars.
