I just purchased a '78.
There are multiple things to get done.
Is there a Corvette Shop in Raleigh, NC or nearby?

I live in Charlotte and there are a couple around here but are pretty pricey.
Elgin's Corvette - Stallings NC just outside Charlotte.
Corvette's Unlimited - Rock Hill SC
Corvette specialty - Charlotte
If you can do it yourself I would stick with mail order you will save a lot of money.

Le Mans Master
If you are on the east side of Raleigh, there is a shop in Beaulaville NC that does superb work. They do everything from body-offs to manifold and carb changes. Their paint work is show quality. They're experienced in all year Corvettes.
Beaulaville is about an hour & a half from the Raleigh airport just off 40. Jackson Auto Sales,(910) 298-4277. Ask for Todd.
