Default Setting the radio stations & clock

This isnt a very technical question , BUT IT'S KILLING ME!!!

I have a '75 - previous owner replaced the non-stock radio that the previous previous owner had installed. Pretty sure that it's 75, but I'm not sure.

I have hit lots of combinations of buttons to set the radio stations & clock, and holding down the pre-sets doesnt work. Anyone know how to set these things?

Is it a stock radio and clock?

Clock is the lower left gage. Pull the smaller silver **** out and turn just like an old style watch.

On the stock stereo, pull the station set buttons out, then push them in to set them.

You can almost see the stock stereo in my picture:

Thanks for the response and pic - my radio must not be stock! I have a cassette player and radio that has a digital clock and CORVETTE lettering.

If anyone has a link to Vette radios throughout the years, I could pick it out of a lineup. I have done some googling but cant find it.

That sounds like one of the Custom Autosound units modified to fit a Corvette. Good luck.

I've googled, and I think you might be right. Haven't found mine, but lots similar.

Thanks.

Next question - anyone know how to set one of these things?!?

ttt

Met a guy this weekend with the same radio in his '69. He had no idea how to change the pre-sets or the clock. It's a pandemic!

I have the standard kenwood unit. The setting of the stations is done by manually tuning in the station and then holding down the required channel button for at least 2 seconds. If it is not taking the memory maybe the power line to the memory is disconnected or the fuse blown.
To set the clock hold down the display button (DISP) and turn the right hand **** counter clockwise to set hours and clockwise to set the minutes.
If you still have problems it may be time to update. Repairs always cost just as much as a new unit.

Don't feel bad.I replaced mine with a kenwood and it has so many settings that it's stupid. Not just station presets but different displays and different colors,mp3 sta.radio, ect,I can't even understand the manual.Hey I'm old school. At least I can get the radio to play and don't even ask me where the clock is.
