brake line question - 3/16 vs 1/4
I am installing a line lock. I got the basic unit from Summit, and I also bought their "strongly recommended" installation kit which includes a huge assortment of fittings I don't need and several lengths of 3/16" brake line. Well, the piece I took off my MC is 1/4" brake line. I have adapters to use the 3/16" line but will it make any difference to have this section of 3/16" brake line in my otherwise 1/4" system? I could just buy 1/4" brake line sections at Napa and pull out the adapters that I already put in the MC and put in different adapters in the linelock unit.

It shouldn't matter. My car came with 3/16" line for the front and 1/4" for the rear. My new master cylinder was for 1/4" front and rear. I used 1/4" line reduced to 3/16" line from the master to the distribution valve. No problems.
What year is your car? Does it use 1/4" for both front and rear?

1968 - I only really measured the small section of the front that I removed from the MC. I thought it was all the same size, which would be 1/4", but didn't check for sure.
