1968 tires
Just bought my first vette today and wondering about the tires...I think whats on there now are too big 215-70R15, what is the correct size tire for a 1968? thanks

actually, 215/70 might be very close to the size of the original F70 tires. I put 225/70 on mine which are just slightly larger. Lots of guys like to put the biggest fattest tires that will fit.

70 series and 215 wide tyres were probably the original equipment. I am running 235 and 245/60/15 yokohama 352's. They look like they were meant to be there. 68's have 7 inch rims while 69 and up have 8 inchers.
The black book lists F70 as original tyres for both 68 and 9 though.
