Was the barn under water?
Even the tilt lever was rusted.
This looks more like the height of neglect.
Yep Paw, if'n we just park that thing out there in the barn it will be worth a lotta money some day.

i worked at an assembly plant for ford back in the 70's after final assembly the cars were run on rollers to check shifting, operation, and speedomter with correct speed. after that they were final inspected and if repair was needed was driven to repair station if not then they were driven trhough a water test to check for leaks then driven to shipping point. I think the lowest milage i've seen on any new car iv'e bought was about 10 miles and that was because we picked up the car at the shppers terminal. what a joke.

There was another thread very recently about this car (can't find it using search). It's the real thing, owned by a forum member's aunt or grandmother. It was parked forever ago in non-climate controlled space (obviously) and the roofs were stolen which is why the interior is so bad.

A perfect example of a low mileage car that aint worth 1/2 what somebody thinks its worth...plus one that will probably require 1000's of dollars of work to make it a safe and attractive driver.
I wouldnt touch it with a 10' pole while wearing gloves...

Run.
A fool and his money are soon parted.
It's going to cost a lot to get this car back to the condition it should be in. I stored my 68 for a long time (thinking it would preserve it) and it cost me over $30K to get it like new again and it had more than 6 miles on it.(45,000 miles)

The question is...what happened to the T-tops? They don't just disappear or "MIA". Not on a "6 mile car".
Not a "6 mile car on a patio". Just what exactly is a "6 mile car" doing on a patio without T-tops?
Something is wrong here somewhere.
It'll cost you 10K to put it back to where it should be. Might be the lowest mileage "parts" car you'll ever find...

The car has been driven a lot more than 6 miles. Did you notice around the dip stick tube for the trany that it had fluid residue marks on it? Someone clocked back the odometer.

That's absolutely the worst kind of thing to attempt to restore (except for a flood car...which I have foolishly undertaken in the past). Everything has to come apart, be cleaned, inspected, replaced. Might as well make a mailbox out of it....hey, this would be a good candidate for a Corvette farm, like the Cadillac farm, remember...where someone planted Cadillacs in the ground.
